Configuring Oracle Primavera Cloud

Before Oracle Construction and Engineering Analytics can ingest Oracle Primavera Cloud data, you must ensure that the required projects are available in the Production workspace. After the projects are available, configure the Oracle Primavera Cloud connection to select the data that Construction and Engineering Analytics imports during ingestion.

Selecting Projects for Construction and Engineering Analytic

Construction and Engineering Analytics imports only projects that reside in the Production workspace in Oracle Primavera Cloud. Projects in the Non Production workspace aren't included in the ingestion process.

To move a project to the Production workspace:

  1. Sign in to Oracle Primavera Cloud.
  2. Open the workspace that contains the project.
  3. Select the project.
  4. From the Actions menu, select Move Workspace.
  5. Move the project to the Production workspace.
    The project is available for the next ingestion run.

    Note:

    All projects that reside in the Production workspace are automatically included in the ingestion process. No additional project selection is required in Construction and Engineering Analytics.

Configuring Codes

Before scheduling ingestion runs for Oracle Primavera Cloud data, you will need to configure settings and select an ingestion schedule.

Note:

This topic is applicable only if your organization has purchased the Construction and Engineering Analytics module.

Select the project and activity codes that Construction and Engineering Analytics imports.

  1. From the " " Navigation Menu, select Administration, then Data Management.
  2. On the Data Source page, from the Actions Menu associated with the Oracle Primavera Cloud connection, select Edit.
  3. From the Edit OPC Connection page, click Start.
  4. On the Codes page, select " "to choose the project or activity codes that you want to include .
    • You can search for a specific field using the search bar.
    • Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to change the order of the fields.
    • Use the Remove button to remove fields.
  5. Select Continue.

    Note:

    You can select up to 300 project codes and 300 activity codes.

Configuring Fields

On the Configured Fields page, you can select the fields you want to include.
  1. From the Configured Fields page, select a field type tab:
    • Project
    • Activity
  2. Click " "Add Fields to select the field type you want to include: Cost, Date, Text, or Number.
  3. Select the fields and click Add.
    • You can search for a specific field using the search bar.
    • Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to change the order of the fields.
    • Use the Remove button to remove fields.
  4. Select Continue.

    Note:

    You can select up to 300 fields for each supported field type, including date, cost, text, and number fields.

Configuring Settings

Specify the ingestion settings for the Oracle Primavera Cloud connection.
  1. From the Settings page, select Enable Relationship Load.
    • Enable relationship load:Controls the ETL from processing activity relationships. De-select the checkbox to run the ingestion without processing activity relationship load.
  2. Select Continue to proceed to the next step in the workflow where you can configure the ingestion schedule. See Setting up an Ingestion Schedule.
