Configuring a Unifier Integration User for Open Authentication

You can configure integration users for REST API to authenticate with Open Authentication (OAuth)

Integration user accounts that connect to the Unifier REST API, can authenticate with basic authentication or Open Authorization (OAuth). To allow an integration account to authenticate with OAuth, you must enter a service request. After the service request is completed, you must re-configure the user in Primavera Administration and in Unifier.

To change an integration user's account to authentication with OAuth:

Enter a service request for the user account’s “Current Auth Type” to be changed to OAuth.
  1. After the service request has been completed, log into Primavera Administration.
  2. On the "" User Administration tab, click "" Add.
  3. Configure the user.
    1. In the Username field, enter a user name for the user account, The username must start with "$$".

      For example $$UnifierRESTUser.

    2. Assign a User Type.

      You can assign any user type except Contractor.

    3. Select the Primavera Unifier environment in which you want to create the user.
    4. Configure the remaining settings according to your requirements.
    5. Save the new user.
  4. Log into the Primavera Unifier environment you selected as a user with Administrator rights.
  5. In Primavera Unifier:
    1. Select the user in the Integration Users section of User Administration.
    2. Set the required permissions for the new user.
    3. Save the new user.
