Assigning Activities

Assign activities to yourself to view them in your activity list and record your progress.

To assign an activity:

1. Select Assign Activities.
2. In the Assign Activities dialog:
   1. Select a project.
   2. Optionally use the Search options to reduce the number of activities in the list.

      Note:

      You can search for an activity either in all fields of the activity, or by restricting your search to the Activity ID, Activity Name, WBS, or Activity Status fields.

   3. Select the activities you want to assign.
   4. Select Assign.

Tip:

You can only assign yourself to activities for which you have OBS access unless the project has the Allow resources to assign themselves to activities outside assigned OBS access option selected.

• You cannot assign yourself to activities in a project unless the project preferences Team members are assigned to activities as: is set to Activity Owners/Primary Resources and Include Primary Resources option are selected.
• You cannot assign yourself to activities in baselines, scenarios, templates, requested projects, what if projects, inactive projects, or planned projects.
