29 Configuring and Publishing Oracle Analytics Server Custom Templates (Custom Prints and Reports)
Unifier integrates with Oracle Analytics Server and Oracle Analytics Cloud to provide on-demand and scheduled web-based reporting. You can configure schedules and formats for published Custom Reports and use the Document Manager Folder picker to specify where published reports are saved.
While you can publish custom prints, reports, and email content from Unifier to Oracle Analytics Server and Oracle Analytics Cloud, you can only access Oracle Analytics Cloud through the Unifier web application. For more information about Oracle Analytics Cloud, see Oracle Analytics Cloud.
Configure Oracle Analytics Cloud Access
If your environment supports a dedicated integration with Oracle Analytics Cloud, you can assign specific Unifier users permission to create and manage Unifier-related reports in Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Add the system-defined data element (DE)
uuu_useraccess_oacto the Additional Attributes segment of the User Attributes form. - In the Edit User window, select the Oracle Analytics Cloud Access option on the General tab.
Access is not provided automatically.
Review Oracle Analytics Server Integration Support
- On-premises configurations
- Single-tenant (ST) configurations
- Multi-tenant (MT) configurations
Importing and synchronizing reports from Oracle Analytics Cloud is supported for MT configurations.
For MT configurations, you can access Oracle Analytics Cloud through the Unifier web application. You cannot access Oracle Analytics Server through the Unifier web application.
Create Custom Reports
- A report that combines information from multiple business processes (BPs), including non-linked BPs.
- A report that uses professional graphics, charts, images, or clip art.
The reports that you publish, either manually or on a schedule, can be in PDF, Microsoft Excel (.xls or .xlsx), or RTF format. If you select the .xlsx format, Excel formulas, formatting, and structured references are retained. This retention helps you update the exported files and import them back into Unifier.
The following sections describe how to create and configure custom prints and custom reports in the Oracle Analytics Server.
Publish Custom Prints and Custom Reports
- Prepare the custom print or custom report.
- Select Status.
- Select Publish.
Note:
When you use the Custom Reports Schedule feature, Oracle supports delivery of Oracle Analytics Server reports in PDF, Excel, and RTF format by email. Otherwise, Oracle supports delivery of Oracle Analytics Server reports by email only in PDF format.
