Importing the Excel File for Bulk Update

After Modifying the Excel File for Bulk Update, import the data as follows:

  1. Go to your project/shell tab, and switch to User mode.
  2. In the left Navigator, select Logs, and select the applicable BP sub-node.
  3. From the toolbar, select Bulk Update, and select Import Data.
  4. In the Upload Microsoft Excel File dialog box, navigate to the Excel file (.xlsx), and select Upload.
  5. Review the import status in the email notification that you receive.
    • If the import process completes successfully, you receive a success message.
    • If the import process completes with errors, review the attached error file, which contains a list of erroneous records.

You can also select Bulk Update, and then select Import Data History Details to review error details or update failures for records or line items.

  6. Correct the errors in the error file, and then reuse the error file to import the data again. See Reusing the Error File for the Bulk Update Import Process.

    Note:

    • Attachments updates are not supported in the Excel import.
    • A maximum of 50,000 records, including the column headers, can be imported per Excel file.
    • Resolve Upper Form errors before you resolve any line item errors.
    • Required fields must be entered in the Main Form worksheet before you start a Bulk Update process.
    • Line items that do not exist are ignored during bulk import.
    • The system performs all post-completion actions for a record when you use Bulk Update for workflow actions.
    • If you modify the design in the Integration form for a BP that is already loaded in the Logs node in User mode, you must reload the Logs node to ensure that the latest design changes are reflected.
