Opening an Attachment
Before a task is accepted, you can review or download attachments. After it is accepted you can review, download, revise, rename, and remove attachments (depending on the properties of the form.
To open an attachment:
- In the right pane, select the Attachments tab.
The tab displays a list of attachments. If there are revisions, the Revised column includes a check mark. If you review the attachment, the revisions are displayed in the list of attachments. The Reference Record tab is displayed only if there are references to drawing file attachments.
- Select an attachment, and then do one of the following:
- If the attachment is a drawing file, select
, and then select Open in AutoVue.
- If the attachment is a 3D file, select
, and then select Open.
- For all other attachments, double-click the name of the attachment. The attachment opens either in the Native or Unifier Viewer, depending on your default setting. If Native is your default viewer, your Company Administrator enabled Office 365 integration, and the attachment is a CSV, DOCX, PPTX, or XLXS file, the attachment opens in Microsoft 365 (Office for the web).
Note:
- You can select and open up to 100 3D files simultaneously in a single viewing window. To do this in Unifier Viewer, select the option to open files, and then select the 3D files you want to view from the list. Check the boxes next to the files you want to include and select Update Viewer. To remove a 3D file from the combined view, uncheck the box next to the filename, and select Update Viewer again. To retrieve the latest status from the database, select Recheck Virus Scan Status.
- Some 3D files may take longer to open if they are large or complex. When you upload a large 3D file, Unifier checks whether the file meets the criteria for background preprocessing, allowing you to view it more quickly. If a file appears as "Being Processed" in the file navigation pane, you can still move it by selecting the gear icon and then selecting Open.
