Using Summarization (Cloud Only)
If your Company Administrator enabled Records Summarization with AI and your designer configured and deployed the applicable business process (BP) designs, you can use the AI feature to summarize information from the following types of BPs:
- Cost
- Document
- Line Item
- Project/Shell Creation
- RFB
- Simple
- Text
This feature provides individuals performing different roles within your organization the opportunity to highlight information, identify challenges, and review specific details. For example:
- A Project Manager can summarize safety incident reports in preparation of project status reports.
- A Project Coordinator can summarize daily report information while preparing weekly status reports.
- A Project Manager can summarize meeting minutes and subsequently focus on the higher priority items.
- A Contracts Administrator can summarize Request for Information (RFI) responses from a specific vendor and subsequently focus on the issues reported by the vendor.
You can generate summaries from a specific project/shell, and you can use the Master Log to generate summaries across projects/shells. Using BP summarization at the portfolio level offers additional advantages, such as:
- Providing cross-project visibility into key insights and trends across projects, which supports more informed strategic decision-making.
- Highlighting recurring risks or emerging opportunities, enabling proactive mitigation or exploitation before issues escalate or advantages are overlooked.
Even if the feature is disabled at the company level, your administrator can still configure summarization if the BP design supports it.
