Properties Tab
The Properties tab contains the following fields:
- Name: (Read-only) Displays the value that you entered when you created the earned value scenario.
- Description: (Optional) Enter a description.
- Activity Sheet: (Read-only) Displays the value that you entered when you created the earned value scenario.
- Graph Type: Select the graph to display: Data Date Based or Period Based.
- Progress Measurement Technique: (Read-only) Displays the value that you entered when you created the earned value scenario.
- Template ID: Select an ID from 1 through 6. The Template ID is a tag that you assign when you add earned value analysis (EVA) data to the Cost or WBS sheet. The tag lets you reference the selected EVA data elsewhere in the system.
- Cost Sheet Column: (Optional) Select the applicable Single or Logical Source. You can edit this field to update the source for the EVA.
In the EVA Sheet, the Actuals amount is rolled up by the associated WBS when you select a new Cost-type BP (cost breakdown structure [CBS] or work breakdown structure [WBS]) column as the Cost Sheet Column source. You can use a filter to view the Actuals associated with the selected WBS codes.
Projects can use eligible CBS-only business process (BP) actuals as the Actual Cost source for earned value management (EVM). During EVM calculation, Unifier usesuuu_effective_dateto place the actual amount in the applicable EVM month. This behavior is consistent with the established period-assignment behavior for CBS and WBS BP actuals.Note:
The Cost Sheet column is an Actual Cost-only input. It does not update Budget at Completion (BAC), Planned Value (PV), Earned Value (EV), Activity Sheet values, or other EVM measures. The Data Date is important for calculations because earned value performance is calculated up to that date. Actuals after the Data Date can affect the calculations and cause the Cost Performance Index (CPI) to be incorrect.
Note:
Logical sources show the entire cost data regardless of the Data Date. When you configure and select a BP for the Cost Sheet Column field, the Technique for computing estimate to complete (ETC) block appears below the Cost Sheet Column field. In this block, select the appropriate ETC calculation method.
