Adding a Custom Reports Schedule
To add a schedule:
- Go to the project/shell tab, and switch to User mode.
- In the left Navigator, select Reports, and then select Custom Reports Schedule.
- If the report for which you want to add a schedule does not appear in the Custom Reports Schedule log, do the following:
- On the toolbar, select Add Reports.
- In the Select Custom Reports dialog box, select the applicable reports, and then select Add.
The system adds the selected reports to the Custom Report Schedule page. To remove a report, select it, and then select Remove on the toolbar.
- In the Schedule column, select Schedule
for the applicable report.
- On the next [Report Name] page, complete the following:
- If you are not ready to enable scheduled report runs, clear the Enable schedule report run checkbox.
- If multiple templates are available, select the applicable Template.
- Enter a unique Name.
- Select the applicable Output Format: PDF (default), Excel, or RTF.
- Select the Frequency, Day of the month, Start Date (default is the current date), and Range of recurrence. The following rules apply to the frequency:
- If you select Weekly, the report runs once a week on the same weekday as the Start Date.
- If you select Monthly, the report runs once a month on the same calendar day as the Start Date.
- If you select Quarterly, the report runs once every three months on the same calendar day.
- If you select Yearly, the report runs once a year on the same Start Date.
- If you change the Frequency, the system automatically calculates the next run date based on the new selection.
- To prevent the system from saving the execution log and output in the Saved Result log for a project/shell, clear the Save in Result Log checkbox.
- To save the report in a specific location in the project/shell Document Manager, select Save report in Document Manager, and then use the picker to specify the location.
- To send the report automatically to specific users and groups, select Auto email as attachment to users and groups, and then use the picker to select the applicable users and groups. When you work with a template, the picker displays all users and groups defined within that template. After the Custom Report Schedule is made available to a project/shell, the picker lists only the active users and groups associated with it.
- To define input conditions that dynamically filter the data included in the report, use the Query Parameters and Additional Parameters sections. This ensures that reports deliver relevant and contextual information based on the specified criteria without requiring manual report modification each time.
- To save the schedule, select Add.
