Overall Steps for Importing Data
Use the following steps to import data from CSV files and create records and line items:
- Export the CSV template file to your computer.
The CSV file contains the correct integration structure. Each row corresponds to a new record, and each column is a field on the form.
- Modify the CSV file.
Add new record data into the template CSV file, one record per row.
- Import the modified CSV file.
After you complete the CSV file, import it back into Unifier to create the records or line items. During import, the system validates the data. If the data passes validation, the system creates the records or line items. If the data fails validation, you can view or download the CSV file with the error summary.
Note:
The import process runs in the background, which lets you continue working during import and validation. Processing time depends on the number of records you import. You receive an email after the process completes or if errors occur.
