Portfolio Budget Curves
Use the Cash Flow V2 services to retrieve Portfolio Budget curve data for a project and update the curve’s time-phased values. This supports integrations that keep financial planning data synchronized with external planning or forecasting systems. If you have the applicable Cash Flow permissions, you can perform the following steps:
- Retrieve a named Cash Flow and its Portfolio Budget curves for a project.
- Read curve identifiers, date ranges, currency, calculated total, unassigned amount, period values, and detail records.
- Replace an existing curve distribution with revised period values.
- Update curves at project, cost breakdown structure (CBS), summary CBS, and commitment levels.
- Work with Proposed, Shared, and Approved Portfolio Budget curve types.
- Use
rest_audit_idreturned by each call to locate the REST audit entry when troubleshooting.Note:
The update is a full curve replacement. Start with a GET response, retain the identifiers and relevant structure, change the distribution values, and submit the complete curve payload.
Before You Begin
- Identify the project number, Cash Flow name, and Portfolio Budget curve name to retrieve and update.
- Confirm the curve exists. A request for a missing curve returns a not-found error and makes no changes.
- Prepare values for the required accounting periods. The service validates the curve distribution. Invalid dates or totals result in a validation error and no update.
