Configure Additional Text Columns to Display in the SOV

Overview

Configure standard Payment Application, Base Commit, and Change Commit business processes (BPs) to display additional line-level information in the Schedule of Values (SOV). Users can see meaningful business details, such as identifiers, classifications, and descriptive text, in the SOV sheet and in the Commit Line Item Picker when they select an existing SOV line.

This feature helps users identify the correct SOV line when they create Payment Application and Change Commit records. It improves accuracy when commitments contain many similar line items.

You can configure the feature in uDesigner across the following related BP designs:
  • Base Commit
  • Change Commit
  • Payment Application
The feature supports these capabilities:
  • Display selected commitment detail form data elements (DEs) as additional columns in the Payment Application SOV.
  • Populate detail form DE values from Base Commit and Change Commit line items.
  • Display additional columns in the Commit Line Item Picker used by Change Commit records.
  • Populate matching values automatically from the SOV into Change Commit line items when users select an existing SOV line.

This feature applies to the classic Payment Application BP suite only. It does not apply to Summary Payment Application or General Spends.

After you deploy the configuration, values entered on new commitment records populate the SOV when the commitment reaches the applicable terminal status. Values do not populate automatically into the SOV for commitments that were created before deployment.

For existing SOVs, users with the required permissions can update supported values directly in the SOV grid. Administrators can also use the REST service /ws/rest/service/v2/projectsovsheet/sov/columns to update existing SOV column values or to synchronize data with external systems.
