Creating a Detail Interface
A detail integration interface collects line item information from the detail forms of business processes (BPs) and the attribute or detail forms of managers. You can include any field on the detail form. A validation form is not required because the required fields are specified on the interface upper form, if one exists.
To create a detail integration interface:
- Go to the Company Workspace tab, and switch to Admin mode.
- In the left Navigator, select uDesigner, and then select Business Processes.
- Open the business process or manager attribute form.
- In the left Navigator, select Integration, and then select Detail.
- Select New.
- In the Design window, enter a Name and Description for the detail interface.
- Select the Data Elements tab.
- To add a field to the interface, select Add.
- In the Element Label field of the Add Data Element window, select the field that you want to add to the interface.
The Data Element field shows the actual name of the selected data element (DE).
- In the Direction field, select how the interface directs data for this field:
- Select Input to import data into Unifier in Microsoft Excel, CSV, or XML format to create records or line items.
- Select Output to export data from Unifier in XML format through Web Services.
- Select Both to import and export data between Unifier and an external system in XML format through Web Services.
- To include the DE in the template used to create BP records from CSV or Excel files, select Import.
- To include the DE in the template used to support the Bulk Edit and Bulk Update features to modify existing BP records from CSV or Excel files, select Update.
This feature is supported only in the Unifier web application. It is not supported through REST web service calls or when updating line items in Classic Payment Application BP Records.
- Select OK.
