Integration for Use with the Activity Manager
- Go to the Company Workspace tab, and switch to Admin mode.
- In the left Navigator, select uDesigner, and then select Activity Manager to open the Designer - Activity Manager log.
- From the Designer - Activity Manager log, open the Activity Sheet.
- In the left Navigator, select Activity Sheet.
- In the left Navigator, select Integration, and then select Detail to open the Detail log.
When you open an existing page or create one, the Detail Design window opens.
- Use the General tab to enter a name and description.
- Use the Data Elements tab to add, modify, remove, or change the position of the data elements (DEs) and data definitions (DDs), or labels, on the CSV or Microsoft Excel template.
The Data Elements tab includes following columns:
- Row
- Element Label
- Data Element
- DirectionYou can double-click a row to open the Modify Data Element window and change the value for the Direction field to one of the following options:
- Both
- Output
- Input
The Data Elements tab enables you to define the DEs that can be part of the CSV or Excel template. Users can add all DEs defined in the new Manual Activity Attribute Form to the integration interface.
The DE Direction can be set to Input, Output, or Both. Unifier ignores formula fields whose Direction is set to Input or Both during import. The DEs whose Direction is set to Output do not appear in the CSV or Excel template for creating or updating activities.
Integration Rules
Defining the integration interface is optional for CSV or Excel import of activities. If the integration interface is not defined, exporting CSV or Excel for activities shows all default columns, such as uuu_P6 columns.
The uuu_P6ActivityID and uuu_P6ActivityName DEs are included in the exported CSV or Excel template regardless of the Direction set in the integration interface.
The uuu_P6ActivityID and uuu_P6ActivityName DEs are required when users update the defined integration form. These DEs cannot be removed from the interface, and their Direction must be set to Both.
If users remove either of these DEs from the integration interface and then complete the attribute form design, Unifier displays an error message. Unifier also displays an error message if the Direction for either DE is set as Output during error check or when the attribute design is complete.
- uuu_P6ActualTotalCost
- uuu_P6ActualTotalUnits
- uuu_P6PlannedTotalCost
- uuu_P6PlannedTotalUnits
- uuu_P6AtCompletionTotalCost
- uuu_P6AtCompletionTotalUnits
Users can add custom DES that are added to the Activity Attribute Form in the integration interface.
If users set the Direction for uuu_predecessor and uuu_successor to Input or Both, Unifier displays an error message.
