User Experience

After configuration, users see additional information when they work with the SOV and Change Commit records.

Payment Application SOV

When a Base Commit reaches the configured terminal status and the SOV is created, values from selected Base Commit line item fields copy into the SOV. Users can view those values as additional columns in the SOV. These columns help users identify the correct line when they update progress or review payment information.

Change Commit

When users create a Change Commit and select an existing SOV line in the Commit Line Item Picker, the picker displays the additional configured columns. This gives users more context when they select the line to update.

If matching DEs exist in both the picker log and the Change Commit detail form, values from the selected SOV line populate the Change Commit line item automatically. No additional auto-population configuration is required.

SOV Lines Created by Change Commit Records

If a Change Commit line creates a new SOV line instead of referencing an existing line, values populate into the new SOV line when the same configured DEs exist on the Change Commit detail form.

Editing SOV Column Values

Users with the required Edit Data permission can edit supported text column values directly in the SOV sheet, provided that the SOV is not locked by a pending transaction. When a user saves changes to SOV column data, the update is recorded in the SOV audit log.
