Country Data Inventory and Readiness

Establish a Shared Data Inventory

Begin onboarding with a joint inventory of the country data that will support Visual Explorer. Government data stewards, GIS specialists, agronomists, and delivery teams should confirm the available datasets, their owners, their intended use, and the timetable for providing or updating them.

The inventory provides a common view of the data foundation before it is used in the digital twin. It also helps identify gaps early, such as an incomplete region hierarchy, an uncertain crop list, missing historical context, or insufficient local validation information.

Confirm Roles and Responsibilities

Data onboarding is a shared activity. Government teams normally provide authoritative national and local information, while Oracle validates and integrates the approved data into the Agriculture Intelligence digital twin.

Role Typical responsibility
Government data steward Coordinates data ownership, access, documentation, and updates.
GIS specialist Prepares and validates spatial boundaries, identifiers, and geographic reference data.
Agronomist or field team Provides crop context, season knowledge, and ground-truth observations.
Oracle delivery team Confirms readiness, validates approved inputs, and coordinates their use in the digital twin.

Readiness Checks

Before sharing a dataset, confirm that it is complete for its intended purpose, uses clear names and definitions, and has an identified source and owner. For spatial data, confirm that geometry, identifiers, and hierarchy relationships align with official records. Record the dataset’s reference period and most recent update so that its context remains clear during later maintenance.

Use the agreed secure data-sharing process for all onboarding material. If a required dataset is unavailable, document the gap and agree the interim approach before relying on the related Visual Explorer content.
