Readiness Guide
1. Purpose
This document provides the basic information organizations need to prepare for adoption of Oracle Government Data Intelligence for Agriculture.
It outlines the purpose of the platform, intended users, deployment model, and technical requirements.
Detailed operational instructions are provided in the User Guide and Administrator Guide.
This guide does not cover:
- Platform configuration
- User workflows
- Geospatial data management
These topics are covered in the User Guide, Administrator Guide, and Geospatial Data Guide.
2. Platform Overview
Oracle Government Data Intelligence for Agriculture provides a unified platform for monitoring agricultural conditions and supporting food security planning.
The platform integrates multiple data sources—including satellite observations, weather data, soil information, and historical agricultural records—to provide governments with a consolidated view of crop production risks and agricultural performance.
Using geospatial analytics and predictive models, the platform helps ministries identify emerging risks, monitor crop conditions, and coordinate response actions.
3. Intended Users
The platform is designed for organizations responsible for agricultural monitoring and planning, including:
- National agriculture ministries
- Agricultural monitoring and early warning teams
- Planning and policy units
- Extension services and regional coordinators
- Food security agencies
4. Core Capabilities
Oracle Government Data Intelligence for Agriculture supports three primary functions:
Agricultural Monitoring
Monitoring crop conditions using satellite imagery, weather data, soil information, and historical production records.
Risk Identification
Detection of potential threats to crop production and food security.
Response Coordination
Tools to organize response initiatives and track mitigation actions across regions.

5. Deployment Model
Oracle Government Data Intelligence for Agriculture is delivered as a fully managed Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
The service is operated and maintained by Oracle, including infrastructure management, software updates, and security maintenance.
Customers do not need to provision or manage servers or databases.

Network Connectivity
- Minimum bandwidth: 5 Mbps
- Recommended bandwidth: 10–20 Mbps
7. Getting Started
Organizations preparing to adopt the platform should:
- Confirm supported browsers and network connectivity
- Identify administrative and operational users
- Establish access to the Oracle Cloud tenant hosting the service
