Create a Project
Review Insight
Prior to creating a project, the user needs to review and understand the Insight.
To access an Insight:
- On the Agriculture Intelligence landing page, select an Insight by clicking the Description hyper link.
- Review the details of the Insight to understand what project(s) need to be created to mitigate the issue.
Create Project
Once you have reviewed the Insight and understand what measures are required to mitigate the issue, you are ready to create a project.
- On the Insight Details page, click Create Project.
- Under Project Details, review and edit the following fields as necessary:

| Project Name | This field is pre-populated with “Response to [name of the Insight]” but can be edited by clicking in the field and typing the new name. |
| Location | Identify the locations that will be affected by the project. Locations can be added and removed as necessary. To add a location: 1. Click in the Location(s) field. 2. In the search bar, enter part or the entire location name and press Enter, or scroll through the list of locations. Click Show More to see more locations in the list. 3. Click the location to add. To remove a location, click the X icon to the right of the location name. |
| Project Description | An explanation of the project and why it is being created. The field can be edited by clicking in the field and typing the description. |
| Owner | The user responsible for the project which defaults to the user creating the project. To change the owner, click the drop-down select the new owner from the list. |

Under Add response plan, you will identify the actions that will be taken to mitigate the issue identified by the Insight. Users can add pre-defined actions set by the country and insight type, or add Custom Actions created by the user. Each action will be assigned an owner and status for tracking purposes.
1 - To add a pre-defined action, click the Action. There is no limit to how many Actions that can be added to a single project.
a. To edit the action: i. Click Edit, identified by the pencil icon, which will open a side-drawer. ii. To change the owner, select the Assigned To drop down and select a new owner from the list. iii. To change the status, select the Status drop down and select the status. iv. Click Save to update the Action. v. Click Cancel to discard your changes. b. If you accidentally select an Action, click the checkbox to de-select it.2 - To add a Custom Action:
a. Click Add custom action. b. Enter a brief description of the custom action. c. Enter the Impact this action will have on the project. d. In the Assigned To drop down, select the action owner. e. In the Status drop down, select the status. f. Click Save to add the action to the list. g. Click Cancel to discard your changes. h. Select the Custom Action from the list. - Once all details of the project are completed, click Create Project.
- The Project Details page will open showing summaries of the Insight and Project, and the details of the response plan.
