Oracle Government Data Intelligence for Agriculture Readiness Guide

Introduction

Purpose of the Guide

Provide organizations with the minimum information required to begin using Oracle Agriculture Intelligence, including setup expectations, key capabilities, and system requirements.

What the Platform Does

Oracle Government Data Intelligence for Agriculture empowers governments with a unified, authoritative source of agricultural intelligence, combining open, proprietary, and government-owned data into a seamless solution. Delivering a holistic view of the critical drivers of food security—both present and future. Agriculture Intelligence equips leaders with reliable, timely data and advanced predictive analytics. This enables more effective decision-making, helping to build resilient food systems and address challenges with precision and foresight.

Without accurate data, predictive tools, coordinated communication, and a way to assess impact, government officials are left reacting to food security threats rather than proactively managing them.

Intended Users

Agriculture ministries, planning and monitoring units, extension services, and other advisors and stakeholders in the agriculture ecosystem.

Features and Enhancements

Insights

Crop production insights are derived from an array of robust data sources, including comprehensive satellite imagery that spans the entire country, precise weather data, detailed soil information, historical production records, and other relevant inputs.

Actionable Insights Details

Projects

Projects are initiated in response to food security threats and are always tied to a specific insight and the region they address. These projects focus on managing response plan items and identifying the most effective actions and interventions to mitigate risks, ensuring the country transitions to a state of preparedness for similar threats in the future.

Comprehensive Dashboard

A user-friendly overview provides clear visibility into progress toward the country’s primary agricultural goals, along with real-time insights and crop production forecast.

System Compatibility & Technical Requirements

Cloud Hosting on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

The Ag Intelligence platform is delivered as a fully managed Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). OCI provides a secure, high-performance, and globally distributed cloud environment designed for mission-critical government and enterprise workloads. As a SaaS solution, the platform requires no customer-managed servers, databases, or infrastructure. All application updates, performance optimizations, and security patches are deployed automatically, ensuring continuous availability and minimizing administrative overhead.

The product can be deployed in any OCI region worldwide, enabling customers to meet local data residency, compliance, and performance requirements. OCI’s architecture provides built-in redundancy, multi-layer security controls, and elastic scaling, allowing the platform to handle large geospatial datasets and compute-intensive analytics while maintaining consistent responsiveness. By leveraging OCI’s global footprint and government-grade security posture, the Ag Intelligence platform delivers a reliable, scalable, and compliant environment for agricultural planning and monitoring.
