Approve or Un-Approve a Storm Model

Utilities are often required by regulators to communicate information about a storm Estimated Restoration Timeline (ERT) and share it within 12-24 hours after a storm exits the area. Depending on your utility's policies and procedures, you may need to approve ERT information shortly before or after the storm has exited the area.

Publish a Storm Model

  1. Log in to Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights.
  2. Click Explore > Storm > ERT. The Storm ERT dashboard displays.
  3. Search for and select the storm model you want to approve.
  4. Click Approve Model.

  5. In the Approve Storm ERT dialog that displays, complete the required fields.

    • Confirm Storm Start Date/Time: The start date and time of the storm may be slightly different than when the storm model was first created.

    • Confirm Storm Exit Date/Time: The end date and time of the storm may be slightly different than when the storm model was first created.

    • ERT To Approve: Select the ERT you want to approve. You can only approve one ERT. Make sure you know which is the right one to approve, as this action is not reversible.

  6. Click Approve ERT. The storm model state changes to Approved.

Now that you have approved the storm ERT, you can share this information with your organization and the public so that they can prepare for the storm. Specifically, you will likely need information from the 90% and 95% milestones that are displayed in the ERT.
