Storm ERT

When storms approach, utilities need to predict how many customers will be impacted and how long it will take to restore power. Traditionally that has been done by creating a storm model with an Estimated Restoration Timeline (ERT). However, such storm models are often created using a highly manual process with disparate tools, documents, and systems. The Oracle Utilities Analytics Insights Storm ERT module allows you to create, edit, and approve ERTs in a central, web-based location, and to base the ERT calculations on historic storm data. Information from approved ERTs can then be shared with customers and other organizations to help them prepare for a storm.

Notes:

  • The Storm ERT module is only available to utilities that have purchased the proper add-on. Contact your Oracle Implementation Team if you have any questions.
  • The tasks you can perform in the Storm ERT module depend on your permissions. See Storm ERT Roles and Permissions for details.
