Perform Pre-Installation Steps for OUAW

This page will help you plan and execute the installation and configuration of the Oracle Utilities Analytics Warehouse (OUAW) on Platform as a Service (PaaS). Use the instructions and information below to provision the prerequisite Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources and services.

Note:

This page assumes you have OCI services and resources like databases, middleware, GoldenGate, virtual machines, storage, networking, identity and security, and so on knowledge.

System Requirements and Supported Platforms

Before you begin installation, verify that the minimum system hardware and network requirements are met. See System Requirements Supported Platforms.

Prerequisites for OUAW on PaaS

The prerequisite OCI services and resources for installing OUAW on PaaS are listed below.
  • Ensure all OCI services and resources should have communication with each other, accordingly. Configure your VCN, Network Security Lists, Gateways, Policies, and so on.
  • Ensure to save all credentials that your entered during the provisioning of all OCI services and resources, which will be used later.
OCI Resouces Description
Autonomous AI Databases

Provision Autonomous AI Databases 26ai (Lakehouse) on OCI Compartment.

OCI GoldenGate

Note:

OUAW supports single OCI GoldenGate Instance (Deployment) for Source and Target.
  1. Provision GoldenGate 23ai on OCI Compartment. See Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GoldenGate for more details on GoldenGate Deployment.
  2. Create a connection to Oracle Autonomous AI Database to use as targets for OCI GoldenGate. See Connect to Oracle Autonomous AI Database for more details.

    Note:

    • Use Target GoldenGate DB User (ggadmin) while creating the target connection.
    • Use Source GoldenGate DB User (for example, C##GGOWNER) while creating the source connection. This is described in Configure ETL Source for OUAW.
  3. Assign above created connection to target deployment. See Assign a connection to a deployment for more details.
Oracle Analytics Cloud

Provision Oracle Analytic Cloud on OCI Compartment. See Oracle Analytics Cloud on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for more details.

Oracle Data Integrator: Classic
  1. Provision Oracle Data Integrator: Classic 14.1.2.0.250709 from OCI Marketplace. See Oracle Data Integrator on Oracle Cloud Marketplace for more details.
  2. Download and apply the patch 36668195 (p36668195_14120250709_Generic.zip) after ODI is provisioned.

    Note:

    Find the detailed patch installation steps in the README file within Patch Package.
Apex and ORDS

Latest version of Apex and ORDS are automatically provisioned with Autonomous AI Databases Creation. No need to provision explicitly.
OCI Object Storage
Provision OCI Object Storage on OCI Compartment.

Note:

OCI Object Storage bucket will be used on DB Import and Export as described in Configure ETL Source for OUAW.
