Customer Erasure
A customer’s personal information can be erased from the system under certain circumstances - the most common of which is when the information is no longer necessary for the original purposes of which it was collected and processed. This is usually the case when a customer’s accounts have been closed for some time and there is no other activity for that customer.
Erasure can be triggered automatically (e.g. as service agreements go into a final state) or manually (e.g. when a customer calls in to request for erasure).
