Person-Based Versus Premise-Based Customer Contacts
Customer Contacts can be linked to the person, account, and premise.
If a person is associated with the customer contact, it is considered to be a person-based contact regardless of whether an account and/or premise are also associated with the contact.
If only a premise is associated with the customer contact, the system will designate the contact as premise-based.
Contacts that have an account associated with them must also have a person associated and the contact will become person-based. There are no account-based customer contacts.
Customer Contacts that are associated with a person, account, and/or premise can be accessed through each entity’s context menu.
