The Components of a Lead
A lead has two components: A Lead Event and a Lead Log.
Lead Event
A lead has one or more lead events. These events are the actions designed to encourage a customer to participate in a program. For example, one event could be that a letter or an email is sent to a customer.
Refer to
The Big Picture of Lead Events for more information.
Lead Log
Every lead has a log holding its history. Entries are added to the log when meaningful events occur, for example:
• When a lead is created
• When a lead’s status changes (e.g. transitions to the active, successful or discarded state)
• When a lead event executes
• Users can manually add log entries as desired.
