The following diagram shows the possible lifecycle of a Sales Representative:

Active state: A Sales Representative starts out in an active state.

Inactive state: A Sales Representative may be transitioned manually by a user to the inactive state when they want to deactivate the Sales Representative either temporarily or permanently. A user can manually place the Sales Representative back to the active state from the inactive state.
