Outage Map

The Outage Map provides information on all outage events affecting the service territory. The outage information is depicted in different ways to attend to all the customer needs:

  • Individual Outage Details
  • Service Territory aggregated view
  • County or City aggregated view

The Outage Map is publicly accessible and does not require viewers to have an account with the utility. A web portal account is required for a customer to use the outage map to verify if there is an outage affecting one of their properties.

Data Requirements and Limitations

  • Outage Map Integration: The utility must configure and integrate an outage management system with their customer integrated system to provide issue information to the Outage Map. Oracle Utilities recommends integrating with Oracle Utilities Network Management System to support the Outage Map.

Alert Banners

Alert banners provide customers with important information during critical events. By displaying an attention-grabbing banner on the outage map, customers can quickly access important messages related to the weather conditions, safety precautions, and restoration progress. Customers can benefit from easy access to additional materials, such as safety guides, preparedness tips, or instructional videos. An example alert banner which can be displayed as an overlay on the outage map is shown in the outage map example above.
