About Alerts
An alert consists of an ID, a message type, a timestamp in universal time coordinated (UTC) with milliseconds resolution, and an XML-based character large object (CLOB) associated with a device.
Alerts are defined by the following:
• Unit ID - Oracle Utilities Application Framework-assigned unit ID of the unit associated with the alert.
• Message - Text content of the alert.
• Timestamp - The time the alert was generated.
• External Alert Type - Human-readable name for the type of alert for a given alert.
• External Unit ID - Human-readable name to uniquely specify the unit for a given alert.
