Adding User Types and Assigning Permissions
To add a Flex user type, perform the following actions.
1. Click Add User Type to open the Add/Edit User Type dialog box.
2. In the dialog box, enter the User Type Name.
Once you have named a new user type, you will need to assign them permissions for what tasks they are allowed to perform. For example, the user types range from a very restricted View Only user to the Full Operations plus Switching user who has access to view and perform an expansive list of actions.
Note that when you select a new user type in the User Type column, the Available User Type Permissions column will display the list of available permissions and the Current User Type Permissions column will be empty.
3. Select the new User Type and then select a permission from the Available User Type Permissions column. Click the Add Selected Permission button to give the user type permission to perform the action. The permission will be moved to the Current User Type Permissions column.
4. Continue adding the permissions for the user type, as necessary.
Note: You can remove a User Type by selecting it from the User Type column and clicking the Remove User Type button.
