Warning | Description |
SCADA Confirmation | When you open or close a SCADA-controlled device, the Look Ahead window opens providing information about the potential results of the operation (see “Using the Look Ahead Dialog Box”). After you view all the required information and choose to proceed, another message box opens, reminding you that a remote operation will take place and asking you to confirm the SCADA-controlled operation. |
SCADA Control Action Time-Out | Once you have confirmed that you want to perform a SCADA-controlled device operation, Oracle Utilities Network Management System SCADA Extensions starts a timer. This timer monitors the response to the operation, expecting a "change-of-state" of the device (for example, open to close). If a change-of-state is not detected from the device before a time-out occurs, Oracle Utilities Network Management System SCADA Extensions generates an alarm displayed in the Alarms List. |
SCADA Error | If errors are detected between Oracle Utilities Network Management System and the SCADA interface, a message box opens informing you of the failed operation. You should report these errors to the system administrator or support personnel. |
