Re-Recording the Outage Restoration Sequence in Study Mode
To re-record the correct outage restoration sequence, follow these steps:
1. In your study mode Viewer, manipulate the model to represent what the conditions were when the outage was created. This will be used as your template to record a new scenario into the Outage Correction sheet.
2. Open Event Details for the completed event, click the Switching… button. The Open Or Create New Switch Sheet dialog box is displayed. Select the Outage Correction sheet type and then click the Create button. An Outage Correction switching sheet is created for the event.
3. In the Outage Correction switching sheet, turn recording on.
4. Record the entire set of corrected outage and restoration steps in the Viewer, using the Control Tool's date/time selector to set the correct operation times.
5. Manipulate the model back to the baseline, as in step 1. This is important because the algorithm plays the steps against the current study network to determine the customers affected. Use the Impacted Customers tab to verify that the correct number of customers will be impacted by the new set of steps.
6. Click the Correct Outage button on the Steps tab toolbar. A confirmation dialog box appears.
7. Click OK. The system validates the plan and, if successful, replaces all affected customer data for the related outage and updates the new outage time, customer count, and outage device. The Event Details, when re-loaded, will reflect any partial restoration changes as well.
Note: If you are replacing an outage that was involved in a partial restoration scenario, you will need to either update the other related outages or mark them so that they are not reported and calculated in your indices.
