Feeder Load Management Options Pane
Hourly Forecasts: run hourly studies to include load scaling determined by real-time SCADA values
Specific Day Forecasts: run hourly studies on the selected day.
Daily Peak Forecasts: run daily peak studies.
Specific Period - Run a single study for the specified period:
Scale: enter the Scaling Factor, which is a number that modifies the loading conditions for the selected profile. Typically a value of 1.0 is used; if you want to study the impact of increased or decreased load, enter values greater than or less than 1.0, respectively.
Day: select the type of day. In the product configuration, the Day options are Weekday, Weekend, and Seasonal Peak with capacitors on or off.
Temp (F): chose the temperature range to use for adjusting load conditions or temperature based limits. For each real-time based day type (weekday, weekend), multiple sub profiles exist representing different temperatures bands to characterize how the load behaves on that type of day for a range of temperature (for example, 80°F - 90°F). Using temperature as a parameter allows better simulation results to be achieved. For example, a weekday at 60°F versus a weekday at 100°F will have far different loading conditions. For temperature based limits, this parameter will drive the limits used for power transformers and conductors. Each of these device types will have predefined limits for a temperature band and this value will drive the limit used in the analysis.
Note: The temperature parameter will be grayed out if both Temperature Based Profiles and Temperature Based Limits have been turned off. These can be set using SRS rules USE_TEMP_PROFILES and USE_TEMP_LIMITS, respectively. If temperature based profiles are turned off, it will be expected that a customer will provide a single profile for each load that will be used for all ranges of temperatures.
Wind Speed (mph): select the wind speed available for wind power sources.
Cloud Cover: select the amount of cloud cover (for example, Clear, Mostly Clear, Partly Cloudy, Mostly Cloudy, Cloudy)
Residential Battery: select the profile for battery charge/discharge cycles (for example, On, Off).
Residential Fuel: select the profile for fossil fuel use (for example, On, Off).
Utility Battery: select the profile for utility scale battery charge/discharge cycles (for example, On, Off).
Utility Fuel: select the profile for fossil fuel based units (for example, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
DR: select the profile for demand response objects (for example, On, Off).
