Generating a Switch Plan with FLISR in Manual Mode
In manual mode, you can generate a switching sheet from the FLISR tool and then execute the steps in Web Switching Management.
Here's how the process works:
1. A fault occurs and a section is isolated.
2. FLISR completes its analysis and produces its solutions.
3. The operator inspects the FLISR solutions and either accepts the default scenarios or decides to adjust the scenarios.
4. The operator instructs FLISR to generate the plan. The newly generated plan's Request tab will be populated with all relevant device related data.
5. The operator reviews the plan.
6. The operator can choose to do one of the following:
Instruct, Complete and/or fail each step manually, or
Choose to let FLISR execute all steps in the plan.
Generating the Switch Plan
To generate the switching sheet from the Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration window, follow these steps:
1. In the FLISR Solutions table, click the check box for the plans you want to generate. (The check box appears in the column to the right of the Isolate Switch column.)
2. Click the Generate Switch Plan toolbar button or select Generate Switch Plan from the Actions menu. The switching sheet is displayed, with the switch steps already inserted.
Note: If there is an existing sheet already associated with this FLISR outage, the FLISR Event to Sheet List dialog box opens. Choose a sheet from the list. Indicate whether the steps should be appended to the existing plan and whether the existing sheet should be overwritten. The switching sheet will be displayed with the FLISR-generated steps, based on the options selected.
3. From the Switching Sheet Editor, click one of the following buttons on the Steps tab toolbar.
Execute Entire Plan (): Executes all FLISR switch steps after prompting for confirmation. Note that separate isolation/restoration sequences will be executed in parallel. While the switching sheet steps are being executed, the switching sheet will be placed in View Only mode. Once the automatic execution has completed, steps may be manually added to the switching sheet. (The switching sheet behaves like a standard Fault switching sheet once the FLISR generated steps have completed or failed, and it is taken out of View Only mode.)
Clear FLISR Conditions (): Clears the FLISR operated Flags from the Viewer for this Switching Sheet.
Viewing FLISR Conditions
FLISR Conditions (that is, FLISR Actions and FLISR Disabled Devices) are listed in the Condition Summaries, which is accessed from the Tools menu. See “Condition Summaries” for additional details on the Condition Summaries window.
