Steps to setup integration between NMS and Notifications Hub:

1. Configure and deploy Notifications Hub Adapter.

2. Configure Service Alert to generate notifications for Notifications Hub. Using Service Alert Administration tool:

a. Create unique contact group for Notifications Hub notification parameters.

b. Create notification parameters and assign them to the created contact group.

Only Outage (type 1) notifications are supported. Separate notification parameters are needed for planned and unplanned outages. Customers out value should be set to 1 so that all outages are sent to Notifications Hub.

3. In $NMS_HOME/etc/system.dat file add '-nhub <contact group>' command-line option to the Service Alert Service using the name of the contact group created on step 2.a.

4. Restart Service Alert service.
