Supporting Cross-Domain Security

Cross-Domain Security allows a server running nms-ws to be in a different domain from the domain running cesejb.ear. It is a more secure way of configuring security than Global Trust (though Global Trust remains supported).

To enable Cross-Domain Security do the following:

1. Install the January 2025 Weblogic CPU.

2. Use cesejb authentication (defined in WebService.properties)

3. Follow the steps in https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/fusion-middleware/weblogic-server/12.2.1.4/secmg/domain.html

Also, if switching from Global to Cross-Domain, change the credentials of one of the domains to a different value. In the console, go under Domain, Security, General, Advanced, Credential.
