Viewing the Optimization Report

Right click an Optimization event row in the Work Agenda and select the Optimization Report option. The Optimization Report tab opens in the Event Details window with its list of feeders affected and recommended solution.

File Menu

Print...	Displays the Print Preview window to allow you to print the Recommendation Plan.

Generate Switch Plan	Used to convert the recommendations into an actual Optimization plan for execution. This is only necessary in Manual mode.

• Plan Details...: opens the Plan Details window. See Plan Details for more information.

Understanding the Summary Pane

The Summary pane shows details for the plan and represents high level details for the optimization area. Before a plan is executed only the Before and After (Estimate) details will be populated. Once a plan has been executed and the power flow resolved, the After (Actual) will be populated. By showing both the estimate and the actual, you can compare the results to determine if any adjustments need to be made to the underlying DMS data (for example, inaccurate load profiles creating incorrect estimates).

Summary Information

• Min Volt (%): The minimum service voltage in the optimization area.

• Avg Volt (%): The average service voltage in the optimization area.

• Max Volt (%): The maximum service voltage in the optimization area.

• Loading: The total loading in the affected area showing both real and reactive power.

• % Reduction (kW): This value will be displayed when Conservation Voltage Reduction, Loss Minimization, or Relieve Overloads objectives are selected. For Conservation Voltage Reduction or Relieve Overloads, it will display the percent change in reduced demand. For Loss Minimization, it will display the percent change in reduced losses.

• PF Change: This will only display for the Power Factor Correction objective and will display the change in power factor.

• % Voltage Change: This value will be displayed for the Maximize Voltage objective. It will display the percent change in maximum voltage by executing the optimization plan.

• % Increase (kVAr): This value will be displayed for the Maximize VAr objective. It will display the percent change in reactive VAr support by executing the optimization plan.

• DER Gen: The total DER output in the optimization area for real and reactive power.

• Losses (kW): The total losses in the optimization area.

• Power Factor: The overall power factor for the optimization area.

Note: Power factor will be negative for leading and positive for lagging.

• Violations: The total number of violations in the optimization area.

• Warnings: The total number of warnings in the optimization area.
