Understanding the Grid DER Details View
There are four ways to open the Grid DER Details view:
1. DERMS Dashboard – DER Summary Tab:
Select the DERMS dashboard and go to the DER Summary tab. When you select a DER, you will have the option to view the DER Details.
2. Map View:
Open the Map and center it on a DER. In the map’s control tool pane, you will find an option to view DER Details.
3. Feeder Load Summary Tool:
Launch the Feeder Load Summary tool and select a feeder to view its load management details. Next, select a forecast and view its details. Then, in the Distributed Generator tab, choose a DER to access the DER Details option.
4. GRID DERMS Management Tool:
Open the GRID DERMS Management tool. Select any DER to access the option to view its details.
There are five different DER type representations:
1. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
2. Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)
3. Solar
4. Wind
5. Default (for DERs that do not fall into any of the above categories)
The left section of the DER Details varies based on the type of DER selected; the right section contains a table, which is common for all DER types.
• The SCADA Keys and SCADA Values section is visible if the DER has SCADA.
• The Settings section depends on the DER type selected.
• Regulation Parameters depends on the DER type. Attributes may be edited unless they have SCADA links, which are read only.
• The Optimization panel has same options for all the DER types.
