Installation Steps

Before you begin installing Oracle Utilities Network Management System, ensure that you have read and met all pre-installation requirements identified in the previous chapters. Those chapters contain important information with which you must be familiar before you begin the installation so you can avoid potential problems during the installation.

• If this is a first-time installation of Oracle Utilities Network Management System software, follow all steps in this guide starting with “Installing Oracle Utilities Network Management System Software”.

• If you are upgrading from an Oracle Utilities Network Management System release prior to 2.5.0.0.0, follow the steps outlined in “Upgrading from NMS v2.4 or Earlier”.
