Working with Stable Predictions
Stable predicted outages will not be moved to a different device due to incoming calls, device operations, or a user manually repredicting outages. Predicted service and device outages can be made stable.
Stable predicted device outages can consume calls and outages that are downstream from it. Opening a device where a stable predicted device outage is located will convert it into real device outage.
Stable predicted outages can be manually grouped; in that case, a stable flag (of the resulting outage) is inherited from the lead outage.
In the Viewer, stable predictions have distinct symbology. The symbol for Predicted Stable Service Outage contains the text 'PSSO'. The symbol for Predicted Stable Device Outage contains text 'PSDO'.
In the Work Agenda, a column (Stable?) displays the stable status of the outage.
Predicted outages can become stable in the following ways:
By selecting an outage in Work Agenda or Viewer, and selecting the Make Predicted Stable menu option.
When a predicted outage remains on the same device for the period of time, which is specified by the makeStableDelay configuration rule, it becomes stable automatically.
The stable flag can be removed from a predicted stable outage by selecting the outage in Work Agenda or Viewer, and selecting the Remove Predicted Stable menu option. When the stable flag is removed, the system will reconsider if the outage can be grouped with other outages.
