Warning | Description |
SCADA Confirmation | When you open or close a SCADA-controlled device, the Look Ahead window opens providing information about the potential results of the operation (see Using the Look Ahead Dialog Box on page 2-122). After you view all the required information and choose to proceed, another message box opens, reminding you that a remote operation will take place and asking you to confirm the SCADA-controlled operation. |
SCADA Control Action Time-Out | Once you have confirmed that you want to perform a SCADA-controlled device operation, Oracle Utilities Network Management System SCADA Extensions starts a timer. This timer monitors the response to the operation, expecting a "change-of-state" of the device (for example, open to close). If a change-of-state is not detected from the device before a time-out occurs, Oracle Utilities Network Management System SCADA Extensions generates an alarm displayed in the Alarms List. |
SCADA Error | If errors are detected between Oracle Utilities Network Management System and the SCADA interface, a message box opens informing you of the failed operation. You should report these errors to the system administrator or support personnel. |
