Updating Multiple Events
1. In the Work Agenda, select an event with related events or select multiple event rows.
2. In the Update Events window, select the values in the Estimated Restore Time and Details pane that you wish to add to all events. All fields are selected by default when you open the Update Events window; if you do not want a value to change for all events, deselect the check box next to the drop‑down list.
Note: If an event already has information in one or more of the fields, you may select the event to populate the value(s) in the drop‑down list(s) and, then, you may update the other events with those values.
3. (Optional) Add an Operations Event Note.
4. If you click Update or Complete, you will be prompted for a reason. Enter the reason, and click OK to update all events with the selected event data; if you clicked Complete, the system will attempt to complete the events.
If you subsequently open Event Details for an event separately, you will see that the selected fields were updated and the unselected fields were not modified, any operations event notes were also added to the list of notes for each event, and an Edit Log entry was added for each selected field.
Copying Event Details to Related Partial Restoration Events
You can copy the case notes and other event details for the currently loaded event to all other events related to it based on its partial restoration.
Note: Any previously stored Event Details information for the related events will be overwritten (except for system-populated fields such as Event #, Device, Zones, Event Began, Est # of Cust Out, and Event Restored).
1. Select the event in the Work Agenda window.
2. Click the Event Details toolbar button or select Event Detail... from the Actions menu. The Event Details window opens.
3. Make any desired changes to the event details. Any comments you enter in the Operations Event Note will be applied to all related partial restoration events.
4. Click the Copy toolbar button or select Copy from the Actions menu. The corresponding event details are copied to all related partial restoration events of the currently displayed event. Note that ERT information is only copied to active related events.
Completing an Event
After a crew has reported that an event is complete, you can update the event information in the Event Details window and complete the event. To complete an event, follow these steps:
1. Select the event in the Work Agenda window.
2. Click the Event Details toolbar button or select Event Detail... from the Actions menu. The Event Details window opens.
3. Click the Completion Actions tab.
4. Select the appropriate options from the drop-down lists. You must select a Failure, Primary Cause, and a Remedy; additional options may be required, based on your configuration. Once the required options have been provided, the Complete Event button is enabled.
5. Click the Complete Event button or select Complete Event from the Actions menu. The event information is updated, the event is marked as "complete," and the Event Details window closes.
Note: If you do not select the Failure, Primary Cause, and Remedy prior to selecting Complete Event, the system will display the Validation Errors and Warnings dialog box that warns you that you must select the missing option(s) in the Completion Actions tab.
