Introduction

Oracle Utilities Network Management System Power Flow enables engineering analysis of the electrical distribution system for use in the operations and control center rather than for design or planning purposes. The analysis allows you to assess the equipment loading and feeder voltage profiles for selected portions of the electrical network. In addition, you can review overload, voltage, and fault information.

Power Flow functionality allows you to view the results of the power flow solution, enter and evaluate solution options, and modify execution parameters.

Note: Power Flow solutions may be returned as ‘Inconclusive' when there are errors in the data model. That section of the network is disabled for Power Flow solutions until the island is re-enabled manually or the model is updated. See Chapter 18, Feeder Load Management for more information on feeder status and re-enabling a non-converged island.
