The Web Workspace (NTS) provides a sandboxed Oracle Utilities Network Management System (NMS) environment that mimics common scenarios that occur in the production system. The NTS provides a Trainer environment via a new Trainer user type with special features that trainers may use to create a library of training scenarios for outages, overloads, and so on. These scenarios may be replayed during training sessions. Trainees log in to the NTS as a standard user type (Understanding User Types). Trainers are able to monitor trainees as they react to simulations complete with customer calls, AMI power-offs, wire-downs, device operations, SCADA updates, and other elements. The Trainer is an Administration user type, and they can change configuration options and system parameters.
