Recommended Configuration Order

This section outlines the steps necessary to configure the NMS Monitor, NMS Agents, and HAMI. However, there are some configuration dependencies between each of these components. Specifically, the identity stores and trust stores of the NMS Monitor and NMS Agent nodes need to exist before each other’s certificates can be imported. Below is a recommended order when configuring these nodes with links to the sections describing the process:

1. Switchover/failover scripts

a. Run nms‑ha‑config.

2. HAMI

a. Install Highly Available Metadata Infrastructure.

3. NMS Monitor

a. Copy monitor-config to WebLogic 14 Host.

b. Copy HAMI Client Wallet to WebLogic for NMS Monitor.

c. Generate NMS Monitor Configuration.

4. NMS Agent

a. Install NMS Agent.

b. Configure NMS Agent.

c. Start NMS Agent.
