Asset Synchronization Batch Processes

Inbound synchronization can be performed for an initial synchronization or for delta updates and changes.

Synchronization request records are processed by the synch request monitor batch process, and it is at that time that the actual outbound message is prepared and sent to the external system.

No batch needs to run explicitly for outbound synchronization as the interface dynamically updates the GIS system.

The following sections describe the background processes involved in asset synchronization from the GIS system.

Note:
Before initiating the inbound synchronization, make sure that configuration is done in Master Data Synchronization master configuration record. Refer to Understanding Data Synchronization for more information.

Initial Synchronization

The following batch processes need to be run in sequence to complete the initial load of all eligible assets from the GIS system.

Note:
The system keeps track of the status of the initial conversion process in the One-time Data Conversion field of the Esri WAM Integration master configuration record. Until the process is complete, the field shows Convert all Esri data.

Ongoing Synchronization

After the initial conversion is complete, the following batch processes need to be run periodically and in the specified sequence to uptake ongoing delta changes to eligible assets from the GIS system.
