Once ready, work designs can be submitted for standard approval processing. Authorized approver can Approve the work design or Withdrawal the Approval Request and make changes or add new versions to the work design. Also, approved work designs can be reopened to add new design elements and then resubmit the design for approval.

Once approved, the work design can transition to a “work generated” status and construction work orders and construction work activities can be created from the work design to plan and manage the work. Additional construction work activities can be created on that construction work order or an existing construction work order that has not been associated to any work design as long as the construction work order is in a non-final state. Existing construction work activities that have been associated to the work design can also be updated from the work design.
