The system provides a designated identifier on the asset location entity to track a new asset’s reference to the original asset it may have been associated with in the GIS system. This reference may be useful to track references in situations like asset splits etc. If your GIS system configuration supports such an attribute you may reference it using the GIS to WAM Sync Mapping mapping rules.

Populating such identifier on an asset location entity allows a user to navigate to the original asset location record online if such record exists in the system.
