Installation Types

The first step in the installation procedure is to determine the installation type that meets your business requirements. The following are the possible installation types:

• Initial Install: A database with no demo data

• Upgrade Install: A database upgrade from a previous release

• Demo Install: A database populated with demo data

Refer to Supported Database Platforms for information about the supported platforms on which Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management is verified to operate.

Initial Install

To install Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management V2.4.0.1.1 for the first time refer to the Installing the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management Database - Initial Installation section for complete instructions.

Upgrade Install

This is applicable for customers who already have Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management V2.3.0.0.0 or V2.4.0.0.0 installed.

To upgrade to Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management V2.4.0.1.1, follow instructions in the Upgrading the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management Database section.
