9.2.2.1 Update LT Position

The default value of the Update LT Position is not selected. You are allowed to select during value dated amendment booking.

The Update LT Position check box is enabled only for the following desks.

• ORIG
• ORIGINATIONS_HFS
• ORIGINATIONS_PRM (New desk)

When a value dated amendment is booked with the Update LT Position selected, the system updates the position for the portfolios associated with any of the above three desks in the SLT module.

However, the system does not update the position for the portfolios which are not associated to the above three desks even if the Update LT Position check box is selected.

When a value dated amendment is booked with the Update LT Position cleared, the system does not update the position in the SLT module.

You are allowed to select the check box only if the portfolio of any of the self-participants in the tranche belong to any of the three desks mentioned above.

An internal trade is booked to create/update the SLT position for the respective portfolios associated with any of the above three desks when Update LT Position is selected.
