1.2.1 Functional Features

Following are the release enhancements of the OBOL 14.8.2.0.0 release:

• Rebuild of General Ledger Balance

  The Recheck and Rebuild process is introduced to validate and correct discrepancies between System Account General Ledger (GL) balances and underlying transaction data. Users can initiate the process by specifying the Financial Cycle, Period Code, and Branch Code, with Local Currency as an optional parameter. The Recheck step identifies mismatches without updating any records and logs them in a dedicated mismatch table. If discrepancies are detected, the system flags the impacted accounts and triggers the Rebuild step, which recalculates and updates GL balances based on the transaction data. This enhancement ensures greater accuracy of GL balances and timely correction of any inconsistencies.

• Archival of Transaction Entries and Balances

  The EOD archival feature has been introduced, allowing for the automatic archiving of qualifying historical transaction logs and system account balance records from active tables to their respective archive tables according to set criteria and retention periods. New screens have also been added to view the archived data.
